What is the difference between NG and LPG
First, the two are different in composition. Natural gas is mainly composed of methane with few impurities and high purity, while gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide, methane and other gases with low purity. Secondly, the pressure is also different. The former is close to 3000 pa, while the latter is about 2000 pa, which means that the diameters of the gas nozzles used by the two are also very different and cannot be mixed. Finally, natural gas combustion is more thorough and safer, and gas is a secondary energy, which will produce harmful gases after combustion.
1. Composition
The main components of natural gas are methane, or ethane, propane. Other magazines contain very little, so the purity of natural gas is high. Fuel gas is a mixture of various gases, including carbon monoxide, methane, hydrogen, etc., and even contains impurities such as water and hydrogen sulfide, so its purity is low.
In addition, natural gas is colorless and tasteless, and less harmful gas is produced when burning, so it is more environmentally safe; The carbon monoxide in the gas has a strong smell, which is also known as "gas smell", so once a leak occurs, it may cause gas poisoning.
2. Combustion charge
Natural gas with high purity belongs to the primary energy source. It does not need secondary processing to obtain the gas source. It is also more fully burned and will not produce harmful gases. Therefore, natural gas can be said to be the most widely used and recommended safe gas source. However, gas is a secondary energy. Its combustion charging is not as high as that of natural gas, and it will also produce some harmful gases more or less. In case of leakage, it is also easy to cause accidents, so it is basically not recommended to use gas now.
3. Pressure value
The pressure values of natural gas and gas are also different. The natural gas pressure value is about 3000 pa, while the gas pressure value is slightly lower, about 2000 pa. This difference directly makes the diameter of the gas nozzle used by the two gas sources very different, and they are not interconnected. Therefore, if the natural gas/gas originally used in the home is to be replaced with gas/natural gas in the later period, the pipes and gas stoves used need to be replaced or transformed.
